James 1:21
Modern English Version (MEV)

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and remaining wickedness and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

Jean-Ann married into something evil.
She started a family at a very young age, she knew who she married into and she still wanted to bring children into it.
Did she have any idea what was to come?
or Did she already know and embraced that evil?

She had four girls; Ke-Anna, Korra, Kelly, and Jana. Ke-Anna was the oldest, but the youngest at heart. Every year for family portraits she would stand between her sisters and her dad. Some would think that Ke-Anna loved her father so much to stand next to him.  You never know what happens behind closed doors…
She made sure it was her that her father liked the most and not her other sisters.

On a hot late afternoon the girls were having a nap.
Her mom Jean-Ann was on her second pack, the fan blowing more heat into the house. Jean spent more on gas for the Buick ©, and driving to the convenient store for more packs of cigs then food for her own kids. “You have legs and good lungs make us food
Ke-Anna.” How was she going to make food, when there wasn’t any?
The girls were lucky to have a donut for breakfast before school.
Dishes piled, flies buzzing in-between the broken blinders.
Susan, the weather girl had more sun on her skin then the entire state of Minnesota

Ke-Anna was in her room, minding her own business playing with Kelly’s torn doll and Korra’s best teddy. She jolted as she heard Miller come home, he was earlier today.
She hid the toys in her closet, closing it with a slight bang, and rushed to crawl under bed. The sun was barley setting as her alarm clock hit 4pm.
It was going to be a long night.
She watched as the door opened, the hinges were the loudest in the house.
Everyone knew when she left the room or closed her door, and it was intended to stay that way.
He stood there one foot in her bedroom.
He glared at a hand sticking out from under her bed.
“Sweetheart, are you in here? I came home early just to see you.”
Ke-Anna tried not to breathe, her heart was pounding so fast she was afraid he would hear her heavy breathing.
He continued on; “If you aren’t then I’ll just visit the girls tonight…”
Ke-Anna learned not to scream or run from her dad. Her head is still bruised every now and then because of it..     She slowly got out from under her bed, hiding from under the bed was a merit she had to earn back. “I’m here dad, you can stay with me.”
Ke-Anna closed the door for her dad and sat on the bed slowly taking her day clothes off. “You know I only do this because I love you. Turn around.”
Miller slowly took his belt off, as she took her under garments off and laid on the bed.
“Slowly” he said to her.
She knew what was next.
The punishment for ignoring her father, and then the bleeding throughout the night became a casual thing for her.
After he was done, and satisfied he would leave saying; “Your’e filthy, clean yourself up and go to bed. I don’t want to hear a sound from you tonight. Or else.”
If she screamed or made any noise, he would punish her all the more.
She learned to stay quiet.

Ke-Anna took out the stained rag she hid and cleaned herself up and showered as quick as possible and put her clothes she wore earlier back on. She went to check on her sisters, still at peace sleeping the evening away.
Back in her room she brought her pillow into the closet and laid her head to the wall that they shared so she could hear every movement the girls made.
She grabbed the teddy and torn doll and began playing with them through out the night as she kept an ear out for her sisters.

Ke-Anna grew up protecting her sisters.
One by one found a way to escape as a teenager and went they’re separate ways finding any way to be away from their parents including Ke-Anne.
At 17 Ke-Anne had a newborn baby girl in Wisconsin and named her Melina.
Little did Ke-Anna know that she would marry into an abusive relationship that would effect her oldest Melina who became her step father.

Take a stand and have a voice of your own.
The best father you will ever have is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s.
He is the One to take every broken piece and fill your cup of joy unspeakable and full of glory giving you a happy life and no regret and pain.

Hebrews 13:4-6
Marriage is to be honored among everyone, and the bed undefiled. But God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
Let your lives be without love of money, and be content with the things you have. For He has said:

“I will never leave you,
    nor forsake you.”[a]

So we may boldly say:

“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear.
What can man do to me?”[b
